Branch Manager

Hills Machinery is is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its Raleigh, NC location. The Branch Manager is in charge of the overall operation of the Raleigh facility and must manage all business objectives for the branch.

Essential functions of the Branch Manager position are:

  • Profit and loss responsibilities for the branch
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Manage the daily branch operations including product delivery, services and product support for new and used equipment, plus oversee the parts and service departments
  • Motivate branch employees and ensure adequate and ongoing training of all branch personnel for required skills to carry out the business strategy
  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve company goals and increase overall company profitability

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry related experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership and management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Prior construction equipment experience
  • Work effectively with employees
  • Attention to detail

Service Manager

Hills Machinery is seeking to hire a Service Manager for the Raleigh, NC dealership. This job includes full benefits, and salary with bonus opportunity. Moving costs to relocate from outside the area may be arranged.

Essential functions of the Service Manger position are:

  • Develop and maintain effective service department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Schedule service work according to priority and maintains orderly flow of work
  • Proactively solicit work for jobs that have been quoted and machines due maintenance
  • Advise customers of necessary repair service including estimates of cost; also make recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance
  • Handle customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work
  • Keeping shop area clean
  • Create annual service department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives
  • Take the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common processes throughout the service department
  • Submit all service warranty and product improvement program claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit
  • Recruit, hire, develop and retain key talent by maintaining a current internal depth chart, recruiting and hiring plans and individual development plans
  • Maintain all department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in service department operations
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Familiar with Case Construction Equipment and competitive products

Sales Representative

Our sales managers will sell heavy construction equipment from leading manufactures such as Case. This position is responsible for maintaining strong business relationships with current customers and developing new business. The territory for this position covers Raliegh, NC.

Essential functions of the Sales Representative position are:

  • Insure that all accounts within an assigned territory are familiar with the company, its products and its services
  • Secures orders, studies product population, locates new prospects
  • Helps customers solve problems, provides technical assistance as needed, keeps customer informed on new developments
  • Maintains a record of all calls, completes reports as required, works according to plan, follows up on all leads, contract lettings, and inquires
  • Develops a marketing plan within the assigned territory to increase market share and increase the account base

Requirements include:

  • A self-starter, independent, goal oriented individual
  • College degree preferred

Responsibilities: This position will report to the Parts Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Customer parts sales
  • Customer parts order processing
  • Phone sales
  • In store sales and merchandising
  • Shipping and receiving

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have equivalent experience in parts sales but we will train the right person. The candidate must have strong skills in sales, excellent communication abilities, customer service expertise, and good computer and systems knowledge.
